This philosophy applied when designing the special Boxster B-011.
The engine is normal. To drive more briskly under these conditions. . .
The goal was to reduce weight with carbon fiber and improve the response of various functions.
Assuming the target weight, reconsider the tire size. Next, by setting the suspension alignment, the overall width and ride height of the vehicle to be modeled are determined.
We also revised the engine’s intake system as a way to improve accelerator response. One answer was the overhead intake duct, which is a distinctive feature of B-011’s styling.
By appropriately shortening the distance from the air cleaner to the throttle housing and applying ram air pressure during driving, accelerator response has been greatly improved.
